THE MITCHELL FISHING REELS JOURNAL

Home

This website is for all fans of Mitchell fishing reels! The Mitchell Reel Museum website team is developing it to help you understand the mysteries surrounding vintage Mitchell fishing reels and share freely our knowledge of the truth.

This Mitchell History Website is being built by Mitchell reel historians, authors and most important; those who worked directly with Mitchell! See the About Us Page for more information.

Our mission is to preserve the History and Integrity Mitchell and the company who started it all, Carpano & Pons as well as their major distributors; Canne a Peche, Garcia, Arca, Albatros, Balzer, Milbro, Impecco and many others who made it all happen! We suggest you start with our History Page.

This Mitchell website is for all who either collect, still go fishing with or just remember Mitchell fishing reels and the positive impact it had in our lives!

It's important to know that most Mitchell fishing reels are just that, fishing reels made for fishing. Very few have high monetary value due to mass productions. These Mitchell fishing reels are still highly popular amongst many anglers. Whether you're fishing small streams, fishing lakes, rivers, ponds, surf cast fishing or even deep sea fishing, Mitchell fishing reels came in a variety of sizes to fit all needs. Please see our List of Reels Page for a complete list of all Mitchell fishing reels made between 1939 and 1989.
